Sport1100 Engine Rebuild Tips by Ed Milich I helped Patrick Stirling put his sport1100 back together again and made a few important discoveries: 1. The Sport1100 motor can be removed very easily from the frame. Simply disconnect all wiring, undo the engine ad engine/tranny bolts, and lift the engine forward. It will clear the frame very easily. 2.The cam phase sensor wheel can be installed two ways. Only one is right. Cliff Jeffries pointed out that with the engine at TDC on the left, the cam phase sensor points at the 23rd tooth on the cam wheel. Thanks, Cliff. |
